In promoting a positive and fun basketball experience, the NBBA® incorporates key aspects of Basketball Australia's National Coaching Curriculum & Aussie Hoops Philosophy, the USA Basketball & National Basketball Association (NBA) developed Youth Basketball Guidelines and the USA Basketball Development Model into its basketball programs.

- kids aged 5-17. Each program is individually tailored to the needs, age and experience level of participants. Using a combination of tried & true drills and a "game sense approach" that makes "the game" of basketball the central focus of each session, players are encouraged to develop skills in a realistic context, become more tactically aware and to make better decisions while having fun learning the essential seven fundamental skills of basketball:
